Our First Home!

Outside of our townhouse
It is amazing how the Lord works! He has truly been watching out for Jared and I! From day one of our relationship, I feel like he has been blessing us. As we continue, he still is constantly blessing us and allowing things to work out the way they are suppose.

We have been looking for quite a while for a house or an apartment that we would like to live in. Little did we know, me having Roxy would make it extremely difficult, and extremely expensive to rent. For this reason we started looking into other options. We have been looking for a house we like, but we haven't been able to find one that we both loved, and felt like was the right place to live. Since we were getting discouraged, we decided that we would stop looking for a while.
Family Room!!

After a few weeks, my dad mentioned to me that we should start looking again. I am not sure why he said this, or where this came from, because he very rarely will say things about where we were going to live especially this early, when we don't need it until March, almost even April 2014. Since he said that I decided that I would go online and start looking again.
Our Kitchen :)
When I went on there was a townhouse available for a very reasonable price. We had kind of ruled townhouses out, but I decided I would send it Jared's way, and maybe he would like it. As he started to look at it, he started to like it. We then decided that we wanted to go check it out. Maybe it would be really run down, and maybe it wouldn't.

We contacted our agent and he took us to several houses, and this townhouse. As we both walked out of the townhouse, I think in both of our minds we knew that we were going to be trying to buy this townhouse. It would fit perfectly for our needs, and it is an investment where we have a chance of getting back what we put into it.

Master Bedroom, The two other rooms look like this too, only
a little bit smaller!
After we had finished with Andy (our agent) we try to get a hold of our families. We wanted them to see it as soon as possible. When both of our parents had seen it, and said they liked it, we decided we were going to buy a townhouse.

The feelings of excitement couldn't be contained. There are some things that make it feel like you are getting married, and this is definitely one of them. Being engaged is one thing, but once you start signing papers and buying a house together, you realize that you really are starting your lives together! I am so happy! Both of us couldn't stop smiling! Granite, this place isn't quite ours yet, and we are still finalizing and waiting to close, but I can't wait!

Our Bathroom
Yesterday, we went and got all of the mortgage papers signed, now we just have to wait. We keep talking about how we want to decorate it, and what furniture we are going to use (don't worry we have very little furniture.) Even just the though of being able to decorate it how we want and working together to decide what we want makes us so happy! One of the best feelings I have ever felt!

We are so grateful for all of the blessings we have. We are espeically grateful for the blessing to have found a place to start our lives together!

The back of our house!

We are Engaged!

Okay, so I know I am not officially a Steed yet, but I wanted to start our blog since there are so man incredible things happening for us! I figured if I was soon going to be a Steed, I might as well start the blog off with the engagement story! I first have to say never in a million years was I expecting to get engaged when I did. I thought he would ask me in a month or two, but had no idea it would come when it did!

The day after Thanksgiving 2013, Jared and his family, had invited me and my niece and nephews down to his house, because Santa was going to be visiting his family. I thought nothing of it. Jared had it planned, so my whole family would be down there, with his who family! Isn't that perfect! We had just finished watching Frozen with my family, and all of a sudden, my whole family is getting really pushy for me to leave and go to his house. I couldn't understand why. This was not like my family at all! I was even a little grumpy about it. He told me we were going shopping before Santa at his house, and there was no way in this world I wanted to go shopping on Black Friday. I know I was a little bit grumpy, but I did what they asked, and we left.

Once we had left, Jared, took me to the first place we met, as well as where we had our first date. Zuppas! He knows how much I love Zuppas. Note that I thought it was really weird we were going out to eat the day after Thanksgiving. We had so much food I couldn't imagine why we would be going out to eat. I didn't complain though, because I love Zuppas. After we had finished eating we headed back to his house, because  my family would soon be arriving at Jared's house.

We got to his house, and shortly after my family, his family, and Santa arrived. Now at this point I didn't think anything of it. Then Santa called on me from the corner of the room to help him out. He had me call up all of the kids, and we sang a couple of songs, then he had Jared and I come and sit on his lap. Then Jared gave me the most gorgeous long stemmed roses, and out of Santa's bag came a little box. Then Jared got down on one knee, and asked me to marry him. I started to cry and said, "Yes!" I couldn't have been happier. It was the perfect proposal. Now I get to marry my best friend, my better half, my prince charming, my future husband Jared Steed! I love him with all of my heart! He truly was a blessing and an angel sent to me from above! I am so grateful I have Jared in my life! I can't wait until March 29, 2014!! I love him so much!
